BBQ Pork rubs should be simple to make. This is a very basic pork rub you can use on pork tenderloins, pork shoulders and picnic roasts.Basic Ingredients:- 1/3 cup paprika
- 1/4 cup black pepper
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 2 tablespoons sea salt
- 2 teaspoons dry mustard
- 2 teaspoons cayenne
How To Prepare: Simply mix the ingredients together with a whisk or your hands. You'll just want to use about 1/2 the BBQ rub into the meat and let it rest for about 15-24 hours. Apply the rest of the BBQ rub to the pork roast right before you put it on your smoker for best results. You should be able to cover a pork roast or shoulder weighing anywhere from 5-6lbs. You could always double the recipe if you wanted to be sure and freeze the rest.
